Basic Video Poker Rules
The game starts when the player inserts money into the machine and puts forward a bet. You can bet on the game anywhere from between $1 to $5 (also known as the maximum credit or bet). The screen of video poker also shows a chart describing how a combination will increase or double the bet accordingly. Once the bet has been made, the player then pushes on a ‘Draw’ or ‘Deal’ button.
Once the ‘Draw’ or ‘Deal’ button is clicked, you are dealt five open cards and it is up to you to decide whether you want to continue with the cards or want to change the cards. If the player wishes to change one or two cards, he/she can press the ‘Hold’ button given below each cards to hold or keep the cards he/she wants to continue with. A player can hold all five cards, if he/she wants to. Once the cards are held, player again pushes the ‘Draw’ button to change the unwanted cards and get new cards.
Clicking on ‘Draw’ or ‘Deal’ button second time will give the player new cards and if the final five cards form any of the winning sequence or combination, the player wins. The screen lists the combinations in a series and tells player of the combination created by him/her.
The basic objective of Video Poker is to create a wining combination out of the 9 video poker combinations, such as Jacks or Better, Royal Flush, two of a kind and more.
The game continues as long as the player wants it to and when the player is tired, he/she can easily click on the ‘Cashout’ button and receive the wining amount.
